The much anticipated Canada Day is over and already I look forward to next year's event. Our teachers in London celebrated at Trafalgar Square last night and judging from their facebook status updates, the night was a huge success and worth the exhaustion they no doubt felt while teaching today.
Our teachers in Ottawa celebrated as only Ottawans can - with a massive party on Parliament Hill. K'naan and Sarah McLaughlin performed. Thanks to Bryn in Ottawa for sharing her photos with us below.
Those of us in Victoria and Vancouver celebrated by going to barbeques and shopping, all while wearing red & white of course. I gather there were fireworks, although I missed them. I went to Vancouver for the day and watched my brother-in-law in a bike race.
What did you do? Where were you for Canada Day this year?
I will be posting photos from our teachers as I receive them so watch this space.
And a quick update for Classroom Canada's 2nd Birthday Party on July 19th: Topdeck has thrown in free travel vouchers. Anyone up for an awesome trip with fellow adventurers? All you have to do is come to this blog on July 19th and wish us a happy birthday.
